Timeline for Voice's 2-day transition to the Ethereum ecosystem.

Sunday, Dec 11: Voice begins a 2-day transition to the Ethereum ecosystem. The site will enter view-only mode. During this time, users will be unable to transact or make account updates on the site. All active and scheduled sales listings will be canceled.

Monday, Dec 12: Voice will re-launch. All transactions and account updates will be available on the site.

Artists will re-list all their NFT listings for sale and choose which public chain to mint to upon purchase. For details on how to list an NFT sale, see our FAQ page: How do I list my NFT for sale?

Collectors will need to connect their MetaMask wallet to their Voice account to store their purchased NFTs. For more information, please see our FAQ: Will I need to do anything for the migration?

Additionally, collectors on mobile devices or tablets will need to download the MetaMask app, as they will only be able to complete a purchase on Voice from within the app's native browser (download the MetaMask app here).

Will I need to do anything for the migration?

Yes. All collectors on mobile devices or tablets will need to download the MetaMask app, as they will only be able to complete a purchase on Voice from within the app's native browser (download the MetaMask app here).

Either way, all collectors will need to connect their MetaMask wallet to their Voice account to store their purchased NFTs.

Creators will not need to connect their wallet, as a wallet won't be required to create or sell NFTs.

For more information on MetaMask, check out our MetaMask FAQs here.

Will I need to make any changes to my NFT listings?

Yes. You will need to re-list your NFTs for sale after Voice's integration to the Ethereum ecosystem goes live on Monday, December 12, 2022,* selecting the blockchain the single NFT or entire edition series will mint upon purchase. Only one chain can be selected per single NFT or entire edition series.

For details on how to list an NFT sale, see our FAQ page: How do I list my NFT for sale?

Coming soon: Collectors who own legacy NFTs will be able to sell them on a secondary sale market directly on Voice, or later migrate them to a public chain (such as Ethereum, Polygon, or EOS). Stay tuned.

*Please note, however, that all auctions will be canceled on Monday, December 5, 2022. If you would like to re-list your canceled auctions for sale, you may re-list them for a fixed price, as auctions will be going away. Further, all sales listings will be canceled on Sunday, December 11, 2022, in preparation for the integration to the Ethereum ecosystem that is scheduled to go live on Monday, December 12, 2022.

How does this affect Voice being a carbon-neutral company?

Our decision to move to public chains is to move closer to the Web3 community, open new markets for collectors, and provide all users access to a broader set of tools and actions with their digital assets while remaining dedicated to the planet.

The Ethereum Merge in September 2022 resulted in a 99.95% energy reduction in what was previously an energy-intensive platform that now aligns with our environmental commitment.

Can I make purchases on Voice using any mobile browser?

No. Collectors on mobile devices or tablets will only be able to complete a purchase on Voice from within the MetaMask app's native browser (download MetaMask here).

Collectors on their desktops will remain unaffected by this and may continue to use Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, etc., on their desktops as per usual.

How will minting change?

Voice NFTs will be minted at the time of purchase, and the collector will be responsible for minting gas fees* upon purchase.

When you create an NFT on Voice, you upload the assets and information needed to mint the NFT to a public blockchain once purchased. As the creator, you set the destination chain for your NFTs when listing for sale.

*Gas fees on Polygon will be covered by Voice for the foreseeable future.

Will creator royalties change?

No. For NFTs created on Voice, artists will still receive the same creator royalty on secondary sales.

For more information on how creator royalties are calculated and earned, please see our FAQ page: Will I receive royalties from my NFTs?

Will auctions be supported on Voice?

No. On Monday, December 5, 2022, auctions on Voice will be turned off and discontinued. All open and scheduled auctions will be canceled at this time.

If you would like to put your NFTs back up for sale, you will need to re-list them for a fixed price.

Spoiler alert: 'Make an Offer' soon to come!

Will secondary sales be supported on Voice?

Secondary sales of legacy NFTs will remain on Voice, but will not be minted to public chains until early 2023.

As secondary sales on public chains will not be supported on Voice in the interim, sellers in the secondary sale market will be limited to marketplaces such as OpenSea and AtomicMarket until early 2023.

Will sending airdrops be supported on Voice?

Yes. More information coming soon.

What chains will be supported?

Ethereum and Polygon to start, and EOS soon after, with more options to come in the future.

What wallets will be supported?

MetaMask to start, with more options to come in the future.
