Connecting and verifying your wallet on Voice

Purchasing

Do I need a MetaMask wallet to use Voice?

Yes, as a collector, you need to connect your MetaMask or a Magic Wallet to your Voice account to store your purchased NFTs. For more information please see our FAQ pages: How do I create a MetaMask wallet? and Can I make purchases in cryptocurrency directly from my MetaMask wallet?

Creators do not need a connected MetaMask wallet to create, sell, airdrop NFTs, or withdraw funds on Voice.

Can I have multiple MetaMask wallets attached to a Voice account? How do I create and connect new MetaMask wallets?

Only one MetaMask wallet can be connected to one Voice.com account at any time. If you'd like to use the same MetaMask wallet for multiple accounts on Voice, please disconnect the wallet before logging out of your account so you may connect the wallet to a different Voice.com account.

For instructions on how to create and manage additional MetaMask wallets, please see the information provided here.

What internet browser is recommended for best use with MetaMask on Voice?

Desktop (Mac + Windows)

Mobile (Android + iOS)

How do I connect my MetaMask wallet to my Voice account?

After creating an account on MetaMask, go to Voice.com from the Chrome browser inside the MetaMask app on your mobile device.

In the upper-right corner of the page on Voice.com, click on your profile picture, and then click on Wallets.

Select the chain that you want to connect and then select MetaMask. In this example, we're connecting our MetaMask wallet and setting the blockchain to Ethereum, but you can follow the exact same steps when you're ready to connect a different blockchain.

Approve the transaction request from your MetaMask wallet.

Once connected, you will see the green "Connected" status in your Wallets tab under your connected wallet. Your wallet is now connected to your Voice account!*

*Please note you should repeat the same steps above for each blockchain you would like to connect to your Voice account.

How do I verify my MetaMask wallet on my Voice account?

Verifying your blockchain account will allow you to retrieve previously sent Voice NFTs from external blockchains.

To verify, visit the Wallets section when logged into your Voice account.

In this example, we are verifying our previously connected wallet on the Ethereum blockchain, but you should repeat the same steps for each blockchain to connect to on Voice.

Make sure the correct blockchain you trying to verify is selected and click on the "Verify" tab. Then click on "Verify" next to your connected wallet.

A new window will appear to have you confirm your request. Click the "Continue" button when ready.

After clicking "Continue", MetaMask will request your signature to continue connecting. Click "Sign" when ready.

Once signed, the page will refresh and you will see the green "Verified" status in your Verify tab under MetaMask. Your wallet is now verified on your Voice account!

How do I set up Polygon as a network in my MetaMask wallet?

Please note that this is the default method for adding Polygon Mainnet as a network in MetaMask. If you encounter any issues adding Polygon Mainnet following these instructions, we've included instructions below on how to add it manually.

To set up Polygon as a network in MetaMask, log into MetaMask and go to the top of the app where it shows the current network (“Ethereum Main Network” is set by default), and click on the network name in your mobile app (if you are doing this from your web browser, this will appear as a drop-down arrow). The list of default networks in MetaMask will appear. Click on "Add a network" to see more.

MetaMask will show you a list of popular networks you may add. Locate "Polygon Mainnet" and click "Add".

Next, click on "Approve."

Once added, MetaMask will automatically prompt you to switch your network to Polygon Mainnet. You may either close the prompt or click on "Switch to network" immediately.

Your MetaMask wallet is now connected to Polygon!

How to set up Polygon as a network in MetaMask manually*

*Please note that you do not need to follow these instructions if you were able to add Polygon Mainnet to your networks per the instructions above. These instructions are only for users who are not able to locate Polygon Mainnet as an option of networks in Metamask.

If you do not see Polygon Mainnet as a selectable option, scroll to the “add network” option. From here fill in the following fields with the provided information for Polygon below.

Network Name

Polygon

New RPC URL

Chain ID

137

Currency Symbol

MATIC

Block Explorer URL

When finished, hit “Save”. Then make sure Polygon is now selected as your Network at the top of MetaMask. Your MetaMask wallet is now connected to Polygon!

How do I switch between networks on Voice?

From time to time, you may want to switch between networks while on Voice, as the correct network must be selected prior to completing a purchase, otherwise the purchase will result in an error, and you will have to restart the process.

To switch networks, visit the Wallets section when logged into your Voice account.

In this example, we're switching our MetaMask wallet's blockchain from Ethereum to Polygon. To start this change, click on the Blockchain drop-down menu and select "Polygon".

A prompt from MetaMask will appear asking you to confirm your request to switch networks. Click on "Switch network".

Once switched, the page will refresh and you will see the green "Connected" status next to your blockchain of choice, as well as in your "Connect" tab next to your connected wallet. You have now switched networks and may proceed with purchasing any NFT on that blockchain.

How do I see my purchased NFTs in my MetaMask wallet?

At the moment you can see your NFTs only on Metamask Mobile. You can add NFTs as custom tokens in the web extension, but you will not be able to see them natively in the UI.

MetaMask Mobile displays NFTs under Collectibles. Please note that some NFTs will not show up on the mobile app under Collectibles or may not show up correctly.

If your NFTs don't show up automatically, try the following steps to make each appear:

Step 1: Find the NFT's address. After a purchase is completed, the NFT will be minted, and you will find a hyperlinked string of letters and numbers, also known as a "transaction hash", in the transaction history section at the bottom of your NFT's details.

If you click on this link, it will take you to the contract's address on Etherscan or Polygonscan; on that page, you will find the word "Contract", and to the right of that, a long string of letters and numbers. This is the address of the contract that created your NFT. Click on the "copy" icon to the right of the address, and you'll have it on your clipboard.

Step 2: In MetaMask Mobile, tap on the 'NFTs' tab, scroll down, and tap on the "+ ADD NFTs" link. Paste the NFT's contract address from your clipboard into the "Address" box.

Step 3: Find the NFT's ID. A collectible's ID is a unique identifier since no two NFTs are alike. You can find the NFT’s ID under "Details" on the NFT’s listing page. Make a note of it or copy it onto your clipboard.

Step 4: Paste the ID into the box marked "ID" in MetaMask Mobile, tap on the "ADD" button, and your NFTs should appear under the NFTs tab.

Can I make purchases in cryptocurrency directly from my MetaMask wallet?

Yes, you can now purchase NFTs on Voice using Ethereum through your MetaMask wallet. For details, see our FAQ here.

Do I need to have ETH or MATIC in my MetaMask wallet when buying NFTs on Ethereum or Polygon?

No. No, unless you plan to pay in Ethereum for purchases.

For Voice Balance (USDC) and credit card payments, the amount will be added to the total sale price when paying with either a credit card or with your Voice Balance (USDC).
